靠「勢」網絡：中壢火車站前的電子遊戲場地景聚散

Abstract

本研究目的旨在挖掘1970-1990年間，中壢火車站前曾經被電子遊戲場址包圍饒富趣味的特殊地景。同時，藉由訪談電子遊戲場工作者，深入調查存在於該場業中，與警政系統所建立的彈性網絡，和由黑道協助主持秩序的遊戲現場，三者共構的非正式經濟模式。雖然目前實體的電子遊戲場現今多被網路遊戲平台取代，成為都市中式微的消費空間。但昔日電子遊戲場的熱鬧繁華，卻是促成中壢火車站前街廓活絡的重要推手，甚至諸多電子遊戲場址與中壢地區不同的商圈皆有著相互依靠的緊密關係。藉此，本研究嘗試辯證電子遊戲場的營運，除了建構部分中壢都市地景更帶動中壢火車站前一帶發展之重要關係。最後，本研究所強調的「勢」，是一種誕生於電子遊戲場內部兼具排外與封閉特色的人際網絡，但隨著電子遊戲場業業態得改變，該網絡也展現出多元且豐富的層次。經由不同層次的勢力作用下，我們可以從中辨識出中壢地區的重要地景與街廓變化，並且指認中壢火車站前空間的前世今生。

The main topic of theses research is to discuss the shifting landscape of electronic game arcades around Jhongli train station. I investigate the informal economy in which the police, gangsters, and electronic game arcade workers and owners coexisted and collaborated. Although the advantage of game arcade has been replaced by online game, it still matters to some user groups and the workers nowadays. For example, those buildings stand around Jhongli train station, department stores, shopping streets, and every entertainment facility still operated in relation to the electronic game arcades. Through “sè”, which mean the power and subtle interact of social network, amusement arcade shaped an abundant landscape around Jhongli train station. Following the ups and downs of game arcade business, this research illustrates a specific dimension of the shifting landscape that is normally invisible to the majority public.
