臺灣戲曲小劇場「1/2Q劇場」的實驗之路（2004-2013）

Abstract

戲曲演出於二十世紀末至二十一世紀初開啟新頁，傳統戲曲與現代劇場結合，發展出新的演出型態──「戲曲小劇場」。臺灣「戲曲小劇場」吸收西方實驗劇場創新與反叛的精神，視小劇場為規避傳統的實驗策略，希冀為戲曲表演注入新的思維，帶起一波「戲曲小劇場」的創作熱潮。「戲曲小劇場」不僅為戲曲表演的內在思想、演出形式帶來影響，也改變戲曲創作固有的工作模式，影響層面相當廣泛。或許目前並非主流，但其前瞻性卻是相當值得研究的重點。在「戲曲小劇場」的創作團體中，擁有八年創作經歷和七部作品數量的「1/2Q劇場」，是非常值得觀察與討論的對象。由於傳統戲曲的研究方法並不適用於「戲曲小劇場」，所以本文試圖建立一套「戲曲小劇場」的研究模式，以此討論「1/2Q劇場」的作品。本文的架構分為三大部分：第一部分介紹「戲曲小劇場」的背景與內涵；第二部分針對研究對象「1/2Q劇場」的作品進行深入探討，將每部作品區分為內在思想與外在形式兩大面向討論；第三部分則從創作者的角度出發，描繪實驗遭遇的困境與跨界工作情形。藉由這三個部分完整建構與回顧「1/2Q劇場」的實驗之路，反思臺灣的「戲曲小劇場」現象。並從「1/2Q劇場」這樣一個來自不同領域的創作者組合而成的劇團，闡述戲曲從事實驗與跨界合作的過程與困難，為之後以「1/2Q劇場」為主的研究，提供一些個人的觀察與看法。

This thesis studies the Xiqu Little Theatre practice of 1/2Q Theatre, a Xiqu company in Taiwan. Xiqu Little Theatre is a new experimental form of performance that combines Little Theatre and traditional Xiqu, bringing new elements into Xiqu and make it more accessible for the audiences in modern society, which is emerging in both China and Taiwan. 1/2Q Theatre is one of the most innovative company producing Xiqu Little Theatres, their products mixes in not only Xiqu, but also other performance elements like fine arts, installation arts, dancing, music, video, multi-media etc. They have produced 7 experimental Xiqu productions during 2004-2012. This thesis focuses on analyzing their productions and shows their progression during different stages. Former researches on 1/2Q Theatre mostly relied on using traditional Xiqu analysis methods and lacks perspective of modern audience. This thesis is the first work focusing on their experimental performances using different elements, and covering their complete works.
