Obesity has become an epidemic in our country recently. According to the latest statistics, Taiwanese spent about NT120 billions on weight-lose. The trend of losing-weight makes more and more weight-reducing centers and advertisements about weight-lose products bloom. And all the things above make a dream for people to achieve their goal to get thinner. This trend also misleads the value of beauty, and many people lose their weight pathologically to fit in with the trend. This misunderstanding leads to many tragedies. There are many factors, such as self-esteem, peers, media and idolism, which affect body image. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relation among body image, perceived overweight and weight management behavior. This study collects samples by online questionnaire and receives 293 valid samples. This study uses LISREL for analyzing method and induces following conclusions: 1.There is a positive correlation between self-esteem and body image. 2.What types of media you contact will affect self body image and cognitions of overweight. 3.Idolism will affect body image and perceived overweight. The correlation is positive. 4.People who perceived overweight have greater intention to manage their weight. |
