Abstract: None
This thesis explores the application of blockchain technology in aircraft component management within Taiwan’s aviation industry, addressing critical challenges such as component traceability, counterfeit prevention, and regulatory compliance. This research identifies the benefits and obstacles associated with blockchain adoption through a comprehensive methodology encompassing a literature review, an expert interview, and surveys targeting major airlines in Taiwan. Insights from key industry stakeholders reveal blockchain's potential to enhance traceability, improve data security, streamline documentation, and increase supply chain transparency. However, significant barriers are highlighted, including the lack of industry standards, high implementation costs, and integration challenges with existing systems. The analysis emphasizes the need for technical expertise, a supportive organizational culture, and transparent regulatory guidelines for successful blockchain adoption. The study concludes that while blockchain offers a promising solution for optimizing aircraft component management, successful implementation requires collaborative efforts among industry stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and technology providers. This research contributes valuable insights into blockchain applications in the aviation sector, laying the groundwork for future studies to explore broader implications and practical implementations.
