Abstract: The main content of this business plan demonstrates the opportunity and strategy for starting a platform business with the concept of sharing economy to provide temporary storage service in Taiwan. Thanks to the prosperity of tourism industry in Taiwan, the number of annual inbound tourists has reached 10,000,000 times in recent year and up to 70% of international tourists are self or semi travelers. Besides of international tourists, domestic tourism and big event are others drivers to the need. All of these shows grand market of temporary storage service. So, it is a high potential business opportunity to starting the platform business to match travelers with storage need and stores with additional space.
The structure of this business plan starts with industry and existing player analysis to demonstrate the business opportunity of the market. Following by market research to capture clear understanding of the market and customer need, and business model to illustrate the business design. To further analyze the business opportunity and strategy, it uses five forces model breakdown and SWOT analysis. In the operation plan, it illustrates the business market entry strategy, organization structure and minimum viable product. Lastly, the five-year forecast financial statement estimates the feasibility and profitability of the business. It takes 4.39 years to pay back the investment, and the IRR is 25% for five-years finance forecast. A plan for scale expansion is also introduced in the final section of this business plan.
