Abstract: An Internal Combustion Engine based form of transport is the most common form of pollution that every human being participate. The air pollution from vehicle exhaust is the higher in a city with high population density. This makes the human impact of vehicular pollution the most gruesome health hazard. By tackling this issue, we can cater to five of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) defined by the UN namely- Good health and Wellbeing(3),Affordable and Clean Energy(7),Industry Innovation and Infrastructure(9),Sustainable cities and communities(11) and Responsible consumption and production(12).
The shift to alternate energy vehicles like Electric Vehicle has been slow to pick up largely due to cheap and plentiful availability of gasoline and petrol and due to the limitations of range of electric vehicles together with a lack of backbone network for charging batteries. While standards have been set for grades of Petrol and Diesel, the Electric Vehicle market has seen small pockets of a few handful of Companies trying out different methods of charging. The high overhead costs of building a charging network and the limitations of using the system by the number of vehicle models that can tap into any particular charge dock make such docks costly and unviable.
The scope of this thesis would be to propose a solution based on a market study, including understanding key customer pain-points, develop a marketing strategy and also a financial plan and projections.
