Abstract: | 本研究借重阿多諾、鮑曼和傅柯的現代性理論,討論瑞典劇作家彼得.懷斯的《馬哈/薩德》、《調查》與《越南論述》中隱含的現代性文明批判,指出支撐現代社會運作的理性精神和權力結構,以及現代性工程高度運轉之下潛藏的暴力因子。本文也會考察懷斯之「紀錄戲劇」如何以獨特美學與政治理念重述、改寫歷史以顛覆霸權論述,改變當代社會。將懷斯的文本視為「抵制」的場域,本研究最後將歸結懷斯戲劇的多重面向,並探究身處現代性中的人們有無可能抵制現代性威權、獲得解放。 This study examines the criticism of the Modernity in Peter Weiss’ Marat/Sade, The Investigation and Discourse on…Viet Nam from Adorno, Bauman and Foucault’s perspectives to point out the spirit of rationality and the power structure that built up the modern society, and to uncover the Modernity’s potential violence. In addition, the thesis discovers how Peter Weiss’ documentary drama rewrote history to resist dominant discourse or change society. Finally, viewing Weiss’ texts as the field of resistance, the study also reveals various facets of them and finds out the possibilities for modern people to resist dominant discourse and eventually liberate from it. |
