Abstract: | 本文以有限時域差分法(FDTD)計算了一、二維光子晶體的能帶結構、並從另外一個觀點解釋了C.T. Chan等人於1995年提出的─以FDTD計算光子晶體能帶圖的方法(又稱為Order N spectral method)。文末也以FDTD方法模擬了聲波在聲子晶體裡面傳播的過程,同時也計算了聲子晶體的穿透率、能隙頻率(Band gap frequency),並與實驗室裡的測量結果得到很好的吻合。 In this thesis, we apply the finite difference time domain method (FDTD) in calculating the band structures of 1D and 2D photonic crystal. Differing from the method proposed by C.T. Chan in 1995 (which is called Order N spectral method), we attempt to tackle this problem via another approach. At the end of this thesis, we also make use of the FDTD method to simulate the propagation of sound wave in phononic crystals. In addition, we calculate the transmission of phononic crystals and determine the band gap frequency. Our results are in very good agreement with the results observed in the laboratory. |
