台灣企業進入開放式架構5G網路產業之競爭策略：以H公司為例

Abstract

5G為近幾年流行科技趨勢中極為熱門的一環，5G的大頻寬(eMBB)、低延遲(URLLC)、大聯結(mMTC)為未來的無線通訊應用與生活帶來許多的想像空間，世界各國紛紛投入5G佈網的行列。與此同時，電信商也將目光朝向未來能降低建網成本的開放式架構網路。在台灣，政府更是把開放式架構5G網路作為國家科技主要發展方向，希望扶植台灣企業成功發展開放式架構5G產業生態圈，未來組成國家隊進入國際市場。 本研究以台灣上市科技公司為例，透過個案研究，以波特五力分析、SWOT、STP、進入策略等模型分析5G產業生態、找出個案公司核心競爭力、產品定位以及競爭策略。用以探討台灣企業如何在開放式5G網路產業鏈中決定其戰略地位。 最終，本研究除了歸納出個案公司「築高牆、廣積糧、緩稱王」的戰略方針，也觀察到企業在轉型發展新領域技術時除了面向市場的產品規劃、市場定位與競爭策略外，面向企業內部的組織管理、人才調整，以及流程改造也相應至關重要。希望透過此個案研究與探討，能做為台灣相似企業在5G產業的發展參考。

5G has become a hot topic in the Tech sector. With its strength in enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB), Ultra Reliable and Low Latency Communications (URLCC), and massive Machine Type Communications (mMTC), 5G brings promising prospect to various industries. Under the global trend of 5G infrastructure deployment, telecom companies have been focusing on building a new generation of open-structure networks that promise a lower cost. In Taiwan, open-structure 5G network is on top of the national technology development agenda, where the government is proactively aiding the 5G network industry chain to enhance competitiveness in the global landscape. In light of this trend, identifying successful market entry strategy is essential for firms attempting to play an important part in the 5G industry. This research thus aims to examine the case of Company H and explore the market entry strategy of 5G network industry. Specifically, case study method was employed to investigate the nature of 5G network industry as well as the firm’s core competence and its positioning strategy. Porter’s five forces, SWOT, STP, market entry analyses were also conducted. Implications for market entry strategy, limitations, and future research directions are then discussed.
