Although it has developing nearly 15 years in Taiwan, for those who have never seen live-stream, streamers may seem just simply sit in front of a camera, chatting or playing games, then could easily gain admiration and sponsorship from viewers. Through interviewing with streamers, viewers, scholars and industry professionals, this in-depth reporting outlines the live-stream industry and explains why people enjoy watching live-streams. From the perspectives of viewers, the reasons they enjoy watching live-streams could generally be categorized as: interactivity, entertainment, and knowledge. From the perspectives of streamer, a successful streamer should accomplish self-discipline, impromptu hosting and performance skills, as well as strong mental. Based on interviewing some streamers, the in-depth reporting also addresses the negative issues surrounding the live streaming industry, such as pandering to the audience, the "MR./Mrs. ATM" phenomenon.
