| Abstract: | The digital transformation of traditional businesses, particularly in the printing industry, is essential due to the decline of conventional practices in favor of digital alternatives. Despite the critical need for such transformation, there is a lack of comprehensive studies on the practical steps and challenges involved in this process. This thesis aims to explore the feasibility of transforming a traditional Taiwanese family printing business into a UI/UX design company. Using case study methods on two very different companies, the research involves data collection through industry competitive analysis (Porter’s 5 Forces), business model evaluation (Business Model Canvas and Doblin’s 10 Types of Innovation), and the implementation of the OGSM (Objectives, Goals, Strategies, and Measures) framework to guide strategic planning. The study reveals that integrating innovative design services and leveraging existing industry strengths can effectively facilitate the transformation process. The most significant finding indicates that the OGSM framework, combined with a thorough industry and business model analysis, provides a solid roadmap for digital transformation. The key takeaway is that traditional businesses can achieve successful digital transformation by strategically adopting new technologies and business models while addressing essential industry challenges.
