The purpose of green finance is to solve these problems through financial market mechanisms. Green finance involves integrating environmental and climate risks into financial decision-making to promote sustainable development. Green bond, as a tool for green finance, are specifically used to raise funds to support environmental protection and sustainable development projects. The development of the green bond market has helped funds invest to projects that can generate environmental benefits and enable investors to participate in environmental protection.
Taiwan has set a goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. This goal not only reflects the international community's commitment to environmental protection, but also shows our country's responsibility and determination in facing the climate challenge. This paper hopes to smoothly promote the green transformation of economy and industry in Taiwan by studying the development process of green finance and green bonds, and drawing on the development status of United States, France and Japan. Only through government policies, technological innovation, green finance and social participation can we achieve net-zero emissions by 2050 and contribute to global climate protection.
