Abstract: This thesis focuses on the business plan for Uulen Brand LLC to enter Taiwanese market with its organic handmade soaps. The company is currently registered and operates in Mongolia.
The reason to enter Taiwanese market is to provide quality product from natural ingredients, such as sea buckthorn oil, sheep tail oil, which are specialty in Mongolia, for consumers with sensitive skin and high concerns for their skin condition. Current market trend and the economic feasibility of selling abroad has great business potential.
Within the scope of this plan, a study has been conducted with the purpose to identify consumer behavior in their consumption of personal hygiene and skin care products. And assess the size of potential customers with respect to the metropolitan citizens in Taipei. Based on the survey respondents, I have learned that 20% of the consumers are using bar soaps and the company needs to distinguish with its aroma of the products and consistent effects that it has on skin, supported by other products to build an entire skincare routine. Consumers are willing to pay NT$200-NT$350 for single pack of product that addresses their skin problems or offers nutrition and moisture and about 20% of the respondents are highly likely to switch to different brand for better quality.
The intention of this thesis business plan is to accomplish in helping the existing business in Mongolia to expand to markets in Taiwan, making natural products available in the market for quality long term skin care solution.
