Abstract: 車輛的追蹤與定位在車載通訊網路的研究領域是非常重要的一環,直接的影 響到訊息傳送的效率。因為相較於行動隨意網路(MANET),車輛具有較高的移 動能力,其所形成的拓譜之變動也相對快速。現存的車載通訊網路之位置服務也 是由較早期的 MANET 研究之所沿用,因此位置的管理是車載通訊網路的一大挑 戰。考慮車子的移動模型,在本篇論文提出了應用於城市的指向性路由協定,其 主要是將路由協定融合了位置服務,並藉由路標指引方向來完成動態的路由工 作。我們也將我們提出的路由協定與過去提出的相關路由協定做比較,結果顯示 我們在訊息的控制上有較低的額外花費,同時也擁有較高的查詢成功率。
The VANET’s ability to keep track of the location of its nodes (vehicles) is crucial for a node to efficiently route messages to destinations. Duo to the high mobility of vehicles, topology in VANETs changes rapidly. The existing location service employed in MANETs is not very suitable for VANETs. Therefore, location management in VANETs remains a major challenge. In this paper, consider the movement of vehicles is constrained by streets and its mobility model, we present a direction-based routing protocol in city environment. The main goal is that a query message can reach the destination by following the guidepost located at intersections. Vehicles exchange selected location update information only at intersections. We compare the performance of our protocol with that of other prominent location service protocols by simulation. The results show that our protocol features lower control overhead and higher query success rate.
