With the rise of cell therapy, exosome therapy had also gained many attentions in the field of biomedical engineering. In recent years, mesenchymal stem cells have been shown to possess immunomodulation and regeneration abilities in cell therapy. It was believed that these capabilities came from their own exosomes. However, the most optimal way of delivering exosomes to the wound site had been underrated. Therefore, experiments were conducted in this study to deliver exosomes to the wound with the help of hydrogels, which can be fabricated on customization and applied to literally any shape of wound. We hope that the dressings designed could be utilized in clinical use in the near future for patients in need |
