Abstract: | This study is to derive findings about food of Taiwan related people from Japan living in Taiwan for public benefits and to make proposals for further development of Taiwan tourism by travellers from Japan. I have thought that People from Japan living in Taiwan are likely to know the essence of food of Taiwan better than travellers from Japan. In other word, the results of the questionnaire to people from Japan living in Taiwan shows the potential attributes of people in Japan. I have thought that these days it is becoming more and more popular to travel deeply, as if people were actually living in their travel destinations. Thus, this study is quite useful to make proposals for further development of Taiwan tourism by travellers from Japan. I conducted the questionnaire survey to people from Japan living in Taiwan. Then, I conducted exploratory data analyses using regression analysis with stepwise method, analysis of variance and Fisher’s exact test with the responses of the questionnaire survey. And I considered the results of the analyses with the objective perspective and the subjective perspective using my knowledge, experience, and thought. I could know and expect a lot of effects of attributes of people from Japan living in Taiwan for their food behaviour. And top delicious restaurants chose by people from Japan living in Taiwan have not only good deliciousness, but also good hospitality, good atmosphere, good cleanliness, and good cost-performance etc. I am a public official of a prefecture in Japan. Therefore, from the public official’s perspective, I made proposals which will further develop tourism in Taiwan by travellers from Japan based on part of findings. To be more specific, my proposals are about promotion of stinky tofu and Taiwanese tea for people in/from Japan. |
