OFDM transmission scheme has drawn a lot of attention because of its robustness against frequency-selective channels and low complexity receiver. Those bene‾ts are based on the assumption that the parameters between the transmitter and receiver are perfectly matched. However, the inevitable mismatches will lead to some important impacts to OFDM, like CFO and phase noise. Due to these two mismatches, the orthogonality between the subcarrier is destroyed, which will lead to inter-carrier interference in the system. In this thesis, we consider the window design technique for OFDM systems in the presence of CFO and phase noise. Exploiting the statistics of phase noise, we proposed a window technique to minimize the variance of ICI and channel noise. Then we extend this method from single-input single-output (SISO) to multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) OFDM systems. Simulation results show that our proposed method can slightly improve the system performance. |
