Abstract: | 才子佳人的故事主題經過悠長歷史,到明清之際形成獨特的流派。才子佳人小說上承晚明以《牡丹亭》為主的才子佳人戲劇,下啟以才子佳人架構做為小說結構之一的《紅樓夢》,形成一個龐大的文學類型。本文即以《牡丹亭》、明末清初的才子佳人小說和《紅樓夢》為研究範圍,通過對這些作品的文本分析和比較,嘗試探討才子佳人類型故事的發展脈絡,並從人物形象、「情」的觀念和「花園」的空間設置等幾個文學母題的表現來觀看這些作品繼承與轉變的軌跡,以及其中的反省與意義。
關於論文的章節內容,第一章是緒論,說明論文寫作的動機與目的、近代研究的概況以及研究材料和範圍。 第二章旨在探討從才子佳人故事到《紅樓夢》中,「才子」和「佳人」的形象變遷。「佳人」的形象塑造一直是以循序漸進的方式改變,而「才子」的形象到了《紅樓夢》則歷經一個大翻轉。 「情」可說是以男女婚戀為主要內容的才子佳人故事最核心的主題,第三章即嘗試將晚明至《紅樓夢》主情觀念的發展做一番梳理,並探究「情」與「欲」、「理╱禮」、「才」和「空」等概念在作品中的對話與反思。 第四章則透過分析才子佳人故事大量使用的「花園」,探討在這些作品中,花園的作用和在愛情中其位置的挪移,認識這個特殊的空間設置在才子佳人類型作品中的重要性。 第五章是結論。 Having traverse the long passage of time, stories centering the theme of Scholar-Beauty Romance became a unique genre during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. On the one hand, Scholar-Beauty Romance fiction took after plays of the same kind (represented by The Peony Pavilion) belonging to the late Ming Dynasty, while on the other, led to the creation of The Dream of The Red Mansion, where the Scholar-Beauty Romance structure formed part of the novel’s overall framework. Scholar-Beauty Romance stories became a huge literature type. This dissertation base its research on the texts of The Peony Pavilion, Scholar-Beauty Romance fiction of the late Ming to early Qing era and The Dream of the Red Mansion. Through analyses and comparisions of works, it attempts to discuss the development of the Scholar-Beauty Romance story type and look at the inheritance and transformation path of Scholar-Beauty Romance stories, as well as their introspection and significance, via the manifestations of key literature themes i.e. image of character, “qing”(feeling) and “garden” etc. The first chapter is the introduction which explains the writing motive and goal. The second chapter discusses the image transformation of “Scholar” and “Beauty”from Scholar-Beauty Romance stories to The Dream of The Red Mansion. The third chapter attempts to layout and organize the notion of “qing”(feeling) from the late Ming era to The Dream of The Red Mansion as well as inquire into the dialogue and reflection of various concepts demostrated in the works e.g. “Feeling” versus “Desire”, “Reason”, “Talent” and “Emptiness” etc. “Garden” had been used on a massive scale in Scholar-Beauty Romance stories. By analyzing this trait, the fourth chapter probes the functions of garden in these works and the shift of its position in love. This aids the understanding of the importance of this special spatial establishment in Scholar-Beauty Romance genre. Fifth chapter is the conclusion. |
