Abstract: 行動感測網路技術被使用在許多應用中,例如水底生態研究、環境汙染感測及車載安全資訊。在行動感測網路的環境下,其中最重要的一項議題為行動感測器的省電問題。在此篇論文中,我們提出一個區域性的回報機制,稱為分散式控制之省電回報機制(Energy-Efficient Distributedly Controlled Reporting),針對基於區域的時間敏銳之應用(Time-sensitive Applications),能夠減少行動感測器的電源消耗,並且維持最新的感測資料。在此機制中,我們設計了動態睡眠調整機制(Dynamic Sleeping Adjustment algorithms)來調整感測器之睡眠時間,用以減少電源之消耗。我們利用了電腦模擬實驗來驗證分散式控制之省電回報機制之效能。研究顯示分散式控制之省電回報機制可在基於區域的時間敏銳之應用中,滿足時間延遲的限制以及較低的電源消耗。
Mobile sensor networks have found many applications in underwater ecological study, environmental monitoring for pollution detection, and safe driving. One of the important
issues is the energy conservations for mobile sensors. In this paper, we propose a region-based reporting mechanism, namely, Energy-Efficient Distributedly Controlled Reporting,
to mitigate the power consumption of mobile sensors for region-based time-sensitive applications while keeping the sensing report up to date. In this mechanism, we design
Dynamic Sleeping Adjustment algorithms to adjust sensor’s sleeping period based on the the possibility for non-continuous monitoring to reduce the power consumption. Simulation models are constructed to study the performance of the E2DCR. Our study shows that with E2DCR, mobile nodes can report with less power consumption while satisfying delay constraint for the region-based time-sensitive applications.
