Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is considered an important indicator to evaluate the development of advanced countries. In 2011, according to Taiwan National Fire Agency statistics, the number of emergency medical services dispatch exceeded 1,000,000 times [1]. The number has increased each year, so it is important to build a perfect emergency medical services system. Emergency medical services include pre-hospital emergency medical services and in-hospital emergency medical care. The efficiency of emergency medical dispatch direct affects the quality of emergency medical services. Therefore, this study designed a decision support system for enhancing the efficiency of emergency medical dispatch and relieves the burden on social medical expenses. This study developed a dispatch manual with reference to domestic and foreign emergency medical dispatch manuals, which assorted by symptoms and suitable for Taiwan, and established an emergency medical dispatch system based on this manual to help emergency medical dispatcher give commands fast and correct at the first time. |
