摘要: 有鑒於台灣IC設計公司近年來面臨到巨大的競爭,尤其中國大陸這第二大經濟體,近年來政策性地投入大量資源,重點扶植IC產業,其中又以中小型IC設計公司受到衝擊最大,因為其資本投資門檻較不高,加上產品的產業鍊與市場漸漸移往中國大陸,隨之人力資源也漸漸流失,但所幸台灣IC設計公司目前還保有產品技術經驗與前段晶圓和後段封裝的供應鏈群聚性的優勢。因此對於產業鍊轉移與來勢洶洶的競爭者,如何調整訂定經營與轉型策略,創造成長的第二曲線,為現階段相當重要的議題。
本論文以台灣代表性產業為背景,藉由分析該產業中所選出之個案公司作研究,先針對各產品市場分析,外在投資環境評估,再藉由個案公司在驅動IC與非驅動IC的投資及公司的組織架構,進而審視組織效率、產品定位、及公司策略。
最後,根據中小型IC設計公司所面臨的問題,加上對於個案公司與競爭者的策略、經驗、各財務指標、供應商經營管理和投資策略做分析比較,歸納出幾個可供參考的策略方向和作法,以此訂定更有效的短中長期公司、技術策略,也提供給面臨到轉型的中小型IC設計公司,更有效率也更實用的作法。
Considering that Taiwan's IC design houses face huge competition in recent years, especially mainland China that the second largest economy has invested a lot of resources in policy to support the IC industry development. Among them, small and medium scale IC design houses have suffered the most impact, because its capital investment requirement is relatively low, and also the fact that the product's industrial chain、market and human resource are gradually moved to mainland China, Fortunately, Taiwan's IC design company still has the advantages of product technology experience and the supply chain clustering of front-end wafers and back-end packaging. Therefore, how to adjust the operation and transformation strategies and create the second curve of growth for industry chain transfers and menacing competitors is a very important issue at this stage.
This thesis takes the representative industry in Taiwan as the background, and analyzes selected case company in this industry for research. First, including market analysis for each product、the external investment environment evaluation, and also uses the investment strategy of case company in TFT driver IC and non- TFT driver IC field and company organizational structure to review case company’s organizational efficiency, product positioning, and company strategy.
Finally, according to the challenge faced by small and medium scale IC design companies and the analysis and comparison of the strategies、experience、financial indicator、investmernt strategy and supplier chain management of case company and its competitors, and then figure out several strategic directions and methodologies that can be used for references to set more effective short-term Medium and long-term corporate and technical strategies, and also provide small and medium scale IC design houses facing transformation with more efficient methodologies.
