今天去哪跳？台灣街舞次文化資本的形成與空間政治

Abstract

近幾年，跟街舞文化相關的空間爭議，論述的面向以「弱勢次文化空間權力」以及「公共空間使用權力」為主。本論文嘗試給予此類議題不同的論述面向，從台灣街舞文化內部的視角，分析其與空間的關聯。分析方法引用Pierre Bourdieu文化資本理論，以及Sarah Thornton次文化資本的論述結構，探究台灣街舞次文化資本如何形成，同時探究空間對街舞文化的作用，以及街舞文化賦予的空間意義與空間政治。 本論文從社會、文化、經濟、政治與空間層面，書寫街舞文化如何藉由身體、特殊鑑賞能力、信用等慣習，形成特殊的文化結構與文化價值，創造以舞者、街舞圈、內部輿論主導的社會世界。此文化結構產生形成特殊的空間與空間政治，包括擁有可使用空間的知識、掌握對內部族群間的排斥、在不同空間跳舞的適應能力等，在不同空間流動的能力成為街舞文化地位的象徵。「流動」不僅是驅趕所造成，更是文化的一部分。「今天去哪跳？」這個街舞文化內部天天問的簡單問題，除了展現出街舞文化特殊的空間觀，同時暗含文化內部的政治與權力。 街舞文化並非如次文化理論所說的無階級群體，而是以另類的方式區分出地位與階級。也因為這樣特殊的文化結構，讓街舞文化持續不斷創作、茁壯，保持著對台灣社會空間或者社會結構的批判。

Studies of public space disputes related to street dance have tended to embrace subcultural notion or classic minority-versus-mainstream narrative. In trying to give perspective of Taiwan street dance culture's complex politics, in this research I have applied Pierre Bourdieu's cultural capital schema and Sarah Thornton's subcultural capital concept to give fuller representation of relationship between space and Taiwan street dance culture. By exploring habitus in social, cultural and economic perspectives, street dance culture's politics in space is more than subcultural notion but social status, cultural belief and economic discourse. 'Where to dance?' is not only a common question in street dance daily routine, but also implies complex politics within street dance culture.
