漢畫中的秦始皇形象

Abstract

世人對秦始皇主要的印象與評價，主要根據漢代的文獻，是漢代士人塑造出的「秦始皇」。然而在史書上但見劉邦項羽等「大人物」對秦始皇的感想，以及士人對此的批判，遺漏了當時一般人的看法。因此,此本擬由漢代重要的圖像材料─畫像石中的秦始皇題材來研究秦始皇的形象。 畫像石是漢代重要的墓葬藝術，頗能反映當時一般人的觀念。歷史文獻中的秦始皇形象，是後人容易理解的部份；漢代圖像材料中對秦始皇的歷史評價，卻非「顯文露書，是非易見」。正因此，勾勒出漢代圖像中的秦始皇形象，對照傳世文獻，以考察其異同，將有助於理解漢代人對秦始皇的印象。 第一章為緒論。第二章將先介紹漢代士人對秦始皇的議論，及其生平事蹟的傳說，作為與圖像相互印證的根據。由於相關文獻極多，本文只能做個背景式的介紹，重點在分析這兩類文獻中的秦始皇形象。本文第三、四章，以漢代畫像石中「荊軻刺秦王」以及「泗水升鼎」兩個題材為討論對象。先將這兩個題材的圖像製成圖譜，再就圖像本身的構圖、部件來探討漢代人心目中的秦始皇形象，以及這些題材在墓葬中出現的意義及原因。進一步比較圖像中的秦始皇與漢代文獻中的秦始皇有何異同。第五章為結論。

My article is about the image of the First King of Chi'n Dynasty from visual art of Han Dynasty，espcially the pictorial art stone of Han Dynasty.Because the visual art often reflected the ideology of ordinary people of Han，sometimes these ideas could'nt be written by the elites of Han Dynaty. My focus is the tow sotories about the First King of Chi'n Dynasty ，Jing-ko assassinate the King of Chi'n and Sheng-Ding Picture(Elevateing-the tripod of the Chou Dynasty around the Su-river)，and dsicuss the meaning and posibilities of the two subjects， analyse what image of the First King of Chi'n in the visual art， and compare the difference and the similarity between the Historical records and pictorial art stone.
