臺灣社會學門碩博士論文專業養成的知識來源（1998~2005）

Abstract

摘要 過去科學社會學對於引用文獻的研究，指出文獻引用對於知識累積與傳承的重要性，以及透過計量方法計算引用次數來瞭解研究成果的重要性。本研究從知識社會學出發，分析臺灣社會學門碩博士論文其知識的來源，從引用不同比例的文獻類型瞭解其知識的來源為何，反映當前社會學門的學術訓練走向。研究樣本為1998~2005年778本臺灣社會學門碩博士論文及其參考文獻，本研究發現：一、公�私立大學不同對碩博士論文引用不同類型參考文獻的比例沒有差異；二、碩�博士不同學位別在引用不同類型參考文獻的比例沒有差異；三、文獻引用在各個學校之間仍存有差異，且可能與學校老師的專業背景有關。這個結果顯示專業論文的文獻引用模式，與學校資源的差異（公、私立機構）及專業階段（碩、博士）關係不大，而是受到指導教授及論文本身的專業領域之影響較深。最後本文討論指導教授如何影響碩博士論文知識來源的可能性延伸研究。

Abstract Past research on citation studies have demonstrated through statistical methods the influence of citation in matters of knowledge accumulation and inculcation. Based on the sociology of knowledge, this essay explores the sources of knowledge and intellectual in Taiwan doctor and master’s theses by analyzing the proportion of different types of cited sources. By analyzing doctor and master’s theses in Taiwan sociology department from 1998 to 2005 (778 in total), I have discovered that: (1) whether one acquires his degree in a public or private institution it does not have a significant influence in the proportion of the assorted writings cited. (2) whether one writes a doctor or masters degree thesis it does not significantly affect the proportion of the assorted writings cited. (3) citation exists the diversity among the educational institutions that may connect with the general intellectual background or inclination of one’s institution tutor which do has a decisive role in matters of source cited. Besides, one’s gender influences the proportion of the assorted writings cited. Finally, this essay tries to show how one’s tutor might influence one’s manner of citation.
