Concurrently, global population aging is accelerating, with Taiwan officially becoming an aging society in 2018, where the elderly population exceeded 14% of the total population. By 2025, this percentage is projected to surpass 20%, entering a super-aged society. According to Taiwan's National Health Insurance Administration, the primary healthcare expenses are predominantly associated with chronic diseases, such as chronic kidney disease, type II diabetes, essential hypertension, and chronic ischemic heart disease. The rising prevalence of high-risk populations for metabolic syndrome and increasing elderly demographics are expected to drive medical expenses further upward. Objective: With heightened health consciousness, there has been a growing demand for health management services. The increasing aging population has made chronic disease management and prevention critical health issues. Additionally, lifestyle changes in modern society, characterized by increased stress and unhealthy habits, have amplified the necessity for health management. This study aims to explore how health management service platforms can effectively integrate medical resources and digital technology in the context of an aging society with prevalent chronic diseases. Methods: This research employed a qualitative case study approach, focusing on H Health Management Company. The analysis involved secondary data collection integrated with internal analyses utilizing VRIO, SWOT, and the Business Model Canvas framework. It comprehensively evaluated internal resources, external environments, service processes, and business strategies, aiming to clarify critical success factors and implementation structures of the company's health management platform. Results: The study found that H Health Management Company successfully developed a client-centered "precision health management" process by integrating health screenings, data analytics, professional consultations, AI technology, and cross-institutional healthcare collaborations. This platform significantly increased participation and satisfaction rates among corporate and individual clients and improved key indicators related to metabolic syndrome. Operational outcomes have progressively improved, leading to successful registration on the emerging stock market. The company possesses rare, inimitable, and organizationally supported resources, demonstrating sustainable competitive advantages according to VRIO analysis. Conclusion: This study highlights that health management platforms combining preventive medicine and digital technology have substantial potential in enhancing public health literacy and reducing chronic disease risks. The case of H Health Management Company validates that businesses adopting precise, systematic health management services can effectively promote preventive care, delay health deterioration, and alleviate healthcare expenditures. Future policies and enterprises should focus on strengthening the integration and tracking mechanisms of health data to foster comprehensive health management practices. |
