| dc.description.abstract | 在AIoT與Edge Computing迅速崛起的科技趨勢下,傳統工業電腦(Industrial PC, IPC)產業正面臨價值鏈重構與平台轉型的重大變革。研華作為全球IPC領域的領導企業,積極推動從硬體導向製造商邁向「Edge Computing & Edge AI」平台型企業的戰略躍升。本研究聚焦於研華的策略行動與資源配置,探索其在高度競爭與技術融合的產業環境中,如何重塑競爭優勢與事業版圖。
本研究結合理論與實證,採用策略管理核心模型,包括資源基礎觀點(RBV)、策略活動系統(SAS)、BCG矩陣與Ansoff成長矩陣等架構,剖析研華如何於IPC與Edge AI融合產業中建立差異化競爭力。透過對產業價值鏈的拆解與重構,並對研華四大事業群(IoT Automation、iSystem、Embedded、iService)進行事業組合定位與策略分析,研究發現研華已建立起一套以平台模組化為核心、應用導向為推進、數據驅動為治理的策略架構,強化其在全球市場的擴張與複製能力。 進一步而言,研華透過WISE平台推動數據賦能、導入DFSI機制強化場域垂直整合能力,並重構Sector-Driven組織模式以加速市場反應與場景導入效率。其策略行動呈現出Ansoff矩陣四象限的高度一致性:涵蓋市場滲透、區域擴張、技術升級與跨域創新。此外,其平台轉型不僅體現資源整合與模組重用的效率優勢,更展現出一種以資料治理與生態系協同為基礎的競爭邏輯。 本研究除針對研華提出未來深化WISE平台商業化、促進SBU間平台模組共享與資料協同、建構跨場域應用聯盟與精進資料治理體系等策略建議外,亦對於Edge AI產業中的平台轉型模式提供實證參照,對策略管理理論與實務應用均具啟發性與前瞻價值。 | zh_TW |
| dc.description.abstract | Amid the rapid evolution of AIoT and Edge Computing technologies, the traditional Industrial PC (IPC) industry is undergoing a profound transformation in its value chain and business models. Advantech, as a global leader in the IPC sector, is actively pursuing a strategic leap from hardware-centric manufacturing to a platform-oriented enterprise in the realm of “Edge Computing & Edge AI.” This study focuses on Advantech’s strategic actions and resource allocation to explore how the company reshapes its competitive advantage and business scope within a highly competitive and technologically converging industrial environment.
By integrating theoretical frameworks and empirical analysis, this research adopts core strategic management models, namely the Resource-Based View (RBV), Strategic Activity System (SAS), BCG Matrix, and Ansoff Growth Matrix, to analyze how Advantech establishes differentiated competitiveness in the converged IPC and Edge AI industry. Through value chain decomposition and reconstruction, along with strategic mapping of Advantech’s four key Strategic Business Units (SBUs), IoT Automation, iSystem, Embedded, and iService, the study reveals a strategic architecture centered on platform modularization, driven by application orientation and governed by data intelligence. This framework enables the company to scale and replicate its success across global markets. Furthermore, Advantech promotes data empowerment through its WISE platform, enhances vertical integration via the DFSI mechanism, and restructures its Sector-Driven organizational model to improve market responsiveness and accelerate application deployment. Its strategic execution exhibits strong consistency across the four quadrants of the Ansoff Matrix, encompassing market penetration, regional expansion, technological advancement, and cross-domain innovation. The transformation toward a platform-based enterprise not only reflects efficiency in resource integration and module reuse, but also establishes a data-governed and ecosystem-oriented logic of competition. Beyond proposing actionable strategies, such as deepening WISE platform commercialization, fostering cross-SBU module sharing and data collaboration, building cross-domain alliances, and optimizing data governance, this research also offers an empirical reference for firms seeking platform-based transformation in the Edge AI industry.
