| zh_TW |
| dc.description.abstract | The research integrated the Experience Sampling Method (ESM) with the Actor–Partner Interdependence Model (APIM) to explored the dynamic emotion regulation and intimacy in romantic relationships. The study recruited 91 heterosexual couples (182 participants). They completed daily surveys twice a day over 14 days, reporting on their positive and negative affect scores, and relationship satisfaction. Emotional intensity and emodiversity were calculated from daily affect scores. APIM analysis revealed: (1) emotional intensity predicted individual’s own relationship satisfaction, with men’s intensity also predicting their partners’ outcomes; (2) Men’s negative emodiversity positively predicted their own relationship outcomes; (3) A significant interaction indicated that high positive intensity combined with greater positive emodiversity predicted lower satisfaction; (4) Lagged analyses further revealed that certain emotional features stably predicted relationship outcomes across time, with notable gender differences. These findings highlight the importance of emodiversity and gender-specific patterns in daily intimacy processes, while illustrating the utility of experience sampling and dyadic modeling for capturing emotional dynamics in real life. | en |
