The chemical industry is a key driver of civilization and human well-being. As a sub-sector, the fine chemicals industry plays a crucial role in advancing various manufacturing industries. With fine chemicals’ continuous development and applications, the pharmaceutical industry is experiencing a significant shift from traditional chemical synthesis drugs to biopharmaceuticals. With its advantages of high specificity and low side effects, biopharmaceuticals has become a major growth driver in the modern pharmaceutical market. The development of a country’s pharmaceutical industry not only has great strategic significance, but also plays a crucial role in enhancing the country’s global competitiveness. The industry directly impacts public health, creates economic benefits, and drives high-tech industry development. Leading in this field can elevate a country’s international influence and help setting the global pharmaceutical standards, hence it has been highly valued and prioritized at national level. This research focuses on the strategic transformation and growth transition of the fine chemicals industry, using Company A as a case study. It explores how companies can identify transformation opportunities through internal and external situations evaluation and formulate effective strategies to maintain its growth and competitive advantage. The study employs PEST, SWOT, Five Forces Analysis, BCG Matrix, and C-SOP Model to analyze the factors affecting the competitive landscape in the biopharmaceutical industry and assess Company A's current state and future direction. The study's contributions lie in providing specific and tangible steps and methods for the transformation and upgrading of fine chemicals enterprises. By focusing on high-value-added products, implementing organizational changes, and allocating resources effectively, Company A can enhance their competitiveness and achieve sustainable growth. These insights offer valuable guidance for business operators facing similar challenges.
