dc.description.abstract | 在當代生物醫學與科學研究的領域中,流式細胞儀技術已經成為一種關鍵的分析工具,其廣泛應用於細胞的分析與分選。隨著技術的持續演進和市場需求的多樣化,流式細胞技術的產業結構也展現出動態變化。本文對BD(Becton, Dickinson and Company)和Beckman Coulter Life Sciences這兩大流式細胞儀行業巨擘進行了深入探討,評估它們如何透過技術整合與市場拓展來維持其市場領先地位。透過一系列精心策劃的併購,這些公司持續擴大其產品線和市場佔有率。

dc.description.abstract | In the field of contemporary biomedical and scientific research, flow cytometry has become a crucial analytical tool widely used for cell analysis and sorting. With the continuous advancement of technology and the diversification of market demands, the industrial structure of flow cytometry technology is also exhibiting dynamic changes. This paper delves deeply into BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) and Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, the two giants in the flow cytometry industry, evaluating how they maintain their market leadership through technology integration and market expansion. Through a series of carefully planned acquisitions, these companies continue to expand their product lines and market share.
Additionally, this study focuses on the innovative full-spectrum flow cytometry technology introduced by Cytek Biosciences, which is rapidly revolutionizing the traditional flow cytometry market and emerging as a significant new competitor in the field. Full-spectrum flow cytometers can simultaneously detect multiple parameters and effectively overcome the interference of autofluorescence and dye interactions, demonstrating significant potential in meeting future demands for big data and multi-parameter analysis. This technology is not only a groundbreaking invention but also pushes the competition between traditional flow and full-spectrum flow technologies into a new phase, thereby triggering dramatic market changes. Theoretically, traditional flow cytometers can detect up to 50 parameters simultaneously, but due to fluorescence interference, this number has remained theoretical. In contrast, full-spectrum flow technology has developed to detect up to 188 parameters, and this advancement in multi-parameter analysis significantly enhances the efficiency and progress of scientific experiments, making practical application highly likely in the near future. However, finding a balance between theoretical technology and practical application is essential, necessitating the development of truly practical multi-parameter flow cytometers. The current market is in an unbalanced state, with software development lagging behind hardware advancements, posing a significant obstacle to fully realizing the potential of high-end flow cytometers. Ultimately, this paper asserts that in developing multi-parameter analysis, flow cytometry must also focus on effectively selecting and collecting target cells, helping users accelerate their product development process. Therefore, companies that can maximize their value through technological innovation and market strategy will ultimately become the leaders in the future market. | en |
