| zh_TW |
dc.description.abstract | IT-enabled programs aim to help companies efficiently integrate IT assets into business strategies, creating competitive advantages and strategic differentiation. Effective governance by the IT-enabled program sponsoring group is crucial to the success of these programs. The governance of IT-enabled programs by the sponsoring group involves two components: program governance and IT governance. Clear governance decision-making content will make the decisions and actions taken by the program sponsoring group more effective. Moreover, acquiring the necessary knowledge is a key aspect of effective governance.
This study uses qualitative interviews to first identify the decision-making content required for the two governance components and further explores the corresponding knowledge for program governance and IT governance. Based on the results of the qualitative interviews, this study identifies the decision items for the governance of IT-enabled programs and three types of essential knowledge: (1) business knowledge for program decisions, (2) IT knowledge for IT decisions, and (3) integrated IT-business knowledge for both types of decisions. By identifying the governance decision items and corresponding knowledge of the IT-enabled program sponsoring group, this will help enhance decision-making effectiveness, thereby improving program performance. This study, by focusing on the governance decisions and knowledge required by the IT-enabled program sponsoring group, aims to enhance decision-making efficiency and provide new insights into the governance of IT-enabled program sponsoring groups from both academic and practical perspectives. | en |
