| zh_TW |
dc.description.abstract | Every year in Taiwan, agricultural production is lost due to floods. Under the influence of climate change, extreme precipitation is even more inevitable. Understanding the damage caused by submergence stress to plants, knowing how plants respond to submergence stress, and how to improve plant submergence tolerance are topics that need to be studied. The results of trait observation of leaf lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) ‘Lujiao’ during reoxygenation under long-term submergence, such as photo records, leaf score, leaf number change, plant height change, fresh weight, and dry weight records, are all worse than that of ‘Xingnong No.2’, indicating that ‘Lujiao’ is a variety with low tolerance to submergence. However, the application of plant growth promoting rhizobacteria, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, during repotting can improve the performance of ‘Lujiao’ during reoxygenation. The control group of ‘Lujiao’ without plant growth promoting rhizobacteria accumulated superoxide anions during the reoxygenation period, but the group treated with bacterial solution did not accumulate superoxide anions. In terms of gene expression, ascorbate peroxidase (APX) and glutathione peroxidase (POX) in the bacteria-treated group were significantly higher than those in the control group during the reoxygenation period, showing effects of plant growth promoting rhizobacteria on plant antioxidant enzymes. The above results indicated that the plant growth promoting rhizobacteria may enhance the submergence tolerance of plants by affecting the expression of antioxidant enzyme genes during reoxygenation. This result is helpful to understand the mechanism of plant growth promoting rhizobacteria affecting plant submergence tolerance. | en |
