| 摘要: | 世界衛生組織 (World Health Organization, WHO) 統計：截至 2021 年 12 月 23 日為止，2019 新型冠狀病毒 (新冠病毒) 全球大流行確診數累計達 276,436,619，其中 5,374,744 例死亡。相較其他國家，臺灣 2020–2021 期間疫情控制良好，截至 2021 年 12 月 23 日止，累計確診數僅 16,840，其中 850 例死亡。即使如此，仍有論者主張新冠病毒在臺灣存在大量無症狀帶原者造成的寂靜傳播 (Silent transmission)，而質疑臺灣防疫成效。 本研究目的為分析所有公開上傳在臺灣分離出之新冠病毒基因序列之間親緣性，以及突變位點，以偵測是否存在本土寂靜傳播。 The global coronavirus 2019 disease (COVID-19) pandemic had a cumulative number of 276.436.619 cases and 5,374,744 deaths by December 23, 2021, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). Compared with other countries, Taiwan successfully contain COVID-19 spread during 2020 to 2021, with a cumulative number of 16,840 cases and 850 deaths. However, some commentors still question the success of Taiwan’s pandemic response, and argue that there exist undetected silent transmission from a large number of asymptomatic carriers in Taiwan. This study aimed to systematically analyze the nucleotide sequences all public available SARS-CoV-2 isolates from Taiwan, examine the phylogeny and mutation pattern, in order to detect the existence of silent transmission. |
