dc.description.abstract自1992年11月至1994年4月,每月在哈盆地區以電魚法採集臺灣鏟頜魚(Varicorhinus barbatulus),探討其體長(TL)和體重(W)關係、雌雄比例、兩性差異、生殖生物學、族群結構與族群動態,並研究臺灣鏟頜魚與棲地因數之關係。
臺灣鏟頜魚的體長體重關係為:logW = -5.344+3.185 logTL (R2=0.984)。雄魚最初性成熟體長為63mm,在體長71mm時,有50%已達性成熟;而雌魚最初性成熟體長為110mm,在體長為135mm時,有50%已達性成熟。所捕獲的雄魚和雌魚性比為1.97:1,與1:1有顯著差異中(p<0.05)。體長在160mm以下時雄魚遠多於雌魚,體長在160mm以上時則大多為雌魚。在外型特徵上,雄魚吻部周圍有明顯追星,雌魚則無;在各種體長的臺灣鏟頜魚中,雌魚的臀鰭長度大於尾柄長度,雄魚的臀鰭長度則等於或小於尾柄長度。
由生殖腺成熟狀態、GSI (Gonadosomatic index)及卵徑分佈顯示,哈盆溪臺灣鏟頜魚的生殖季節為1至7月,生殖高峰為2至4月,且其產卵方式為多次產卵。體型較大的雌魚其孕卵數較多但卵徑並未較大。
哈盆溪臺灣鏟頜魚的族群結構以體長50-100mm為主,大於150mm所佔比例最低。族群密度與草叢數量、0號淤積度成顯著正相關(p<0.05);而與流速、樹蔭次數、2號淤積度及3號淤積度等因數成顯著負相關(p<0.05)。向樓地因數複迴歸分析顯示,臺灣鏟頜魚在哈盆溪較適宜的棲地為兩岸有草叢可以遮蔽,水流較緩之水域。
