dc.description.abstract隨著資訊時代的來臨,使得人類對資訊的需求日益迫切,不分年齡、職業、教育程度等皆需要資訊來做決定或解決問題。資訊尋求行?即是?了滿足資訊需求而採取的途徑,圖書館探究使用者的資訊尋求行?,是?了瞭解其資訊需求與利用情形,以改善圖書館的服務。
本研究主要目的是一、探討國立臺灣大學工學院與文學院教師資訊尋求行?之差異,此行?包括資訊來源的使用、查尋資料的途徑、尋求資訊的目的。二、同一學院內,再依性別、年齡、年資、職稱之個人因素,探討同院教師資訊尋求行?之差異。此外,並調查兩院教師閱讀資料的習慣、是否曾用電腦檢索資料庫、利用資料上之困難、及使用臺大圖書館的情形與建議等。
本研究主要採用問卷調查法,以截至七十八年十月在職的臺大工學院與文學院專任教師?普查對象。問卷回收率?66.7%,有效問卷計297份。以「社會科學統計套裝軟體」(簡稱SPSS)進行統計工作,分析方法是百分比分析、卡方檢定與t值考驗。
研究結果顯示,兩院教師大部份的資訊尋求行?達顯著差異,同院教師大部份的資訊尋求行?無顯著差異。兩院教師對電腦檢索資料庫的興趣不高,但工學院教師的使用比例高於文學院教師甚多。無法迅速獲得資料及已知有該資料卻拿不到是兩院教師常有的問題。
根據研究結果對臺大圖書館提出幾項建議:一、增加館藏量;二、加強資訊檢索服務;三、加強館際合作服務;四、提高編目工作效率;五、儘速自動化,分享資源。
