| zh_TW |
| dc.description.abstract | TO-2 is a fish cell line derived from Tilapia ovary and is the only fish cell lin, we know now, that has excision repair capacity comparable to CHO-K1, a mammalian cell line. The effects of cadmium in mammalian cell lines have been investigated broadly. In this work, the effects of cadmium on DNA damages and UV sensitivities in TO-2 and CHO-K1 were surveyed. We found that the cadmium induced repariable DNA single strand breaks in TO-2 cells incubated with PBS but not in CHO-K1 cells. The UV sensitivities of two cell lines were significantly affected by cadmium pretreatment for 24 hours. However, it did not happened if the cadmium was added after UV irradiation. At last, the induction of metallothionein by cadmium in TO-2 cells were detected by cytoplasmic dot hybridization. | en |
