| zh_TW |
| dc.description.abstract | The coastal populations of Japanese anchovy are marginal distribution of the fish in the East China Sea. Larval Japanese anchovy suffers huge fishing pressure since 1976 when artisan fishing shifted to commercial pair-trawlers. In order to obtaining fundamental information for reasonable management, I analyze the stock differences between Strait and Ilan Bay, and cohort differences between spring and autumn in the Ilan Bay. At least 133 effective samples without missing data was categorized into 3 groups of spring Ilan Bay (1E), spring Strait (1W) and autumn Ilan Bay (3E). Categorized analysis on cytochrome b gene indicated that haplotypic gene diversity indices greater than 0.995, but molecular diversity indices are low; 0.0141 (1E), 0.0130 (1W) and 0.0144(3). Pair-wise base difference is estimated to 10.5±4.8, showing a normal-type distribution. Although between-group variation takes 4.1% of the total, however group differentiation is supported by 5% significant tests. Microsatellite genes are highly diversified as measured by various allelic numbers of 152-302 di-nucleotides, most of the loci deviated from H-W equilibrium as heterozygote deficiency. Principal analysis on the morphometric variables indicated a subtle phenotypic difference. Based on the finding, I postulate that the spring and autumn anchovy larvae are cohorts originated from 2 spawning populations; the fishes from the Strait and autumn Ilan Bay could be treated as a single unit, and there migration rates are estimated 10.8-25.0%. | en |
