台灣健身房的文化轉型：結構詮釋學的分析

Abstract

本論文旨在探討全球在地化脈絡下，台灣所流行的健身房和健身俱樂部之文化轉型。一方面從歷史、社會學、人類學、商業模式、社會工作和公共政策的軸線切入，另一方面也延伸至心理學、地理學、身體技術、健康概念、運動科學和公共衛生的軸線。其間探討重訓社群、舞蹈社群、瑜珈社群和武術社群的緣由與複合關係。性別、文化、社群主義、生活風格和運動社會學等議題也納入考量。在研究方法上，除了回顧既有的國、內外文獻，也採用德國社會學家Ulrich Oevermann所倡導的結構詮釋學與序列分析研究方式。隨著表演藝術進入課綱、《國民體育法》的修正和《文化基本法》的通過，體育政策和文化政策受到更多關注，期待未來的研究可以在理論建構、資源分配和相關政策（包括社會政策和經濟政策）的跨領域評估上，能有更具體的成果。

The thesis aims to explore the cultural transition of prevalent gyms and fitness centers in Taiwan within the context of glocalization. In one way, this study takes the approaches of history, sociology, anthropology, business model, social work and public policy, and in the other, this also probes the fields of psychology, geography, body techniques, health concepts, sports science and public health. In between, the origin and interaction among the weightlifting community, the dance community, the yoga community, and the martial arts community are discussed. Issues like gender, culture, communitarianism, lifestyle and the sociology of sports are taken into consideration as well. Regarding research methods, the structural hermeneutics and sequence analysis advocated by German sociologist Ulrich Oevermann are adopted in addition to domestic and foreign literature review. With performing arts entering curriculum guidelines, the revision of National Sports Act, and the passage of Culture Basic Law, physical education policy and cultural policy have drawn more attention; hopefully, subsequent researches can yield more concrete achievements in theory building, resource allocation, and the interdisciplinary evaluation of related policies, including social policy and economic policy.
