Abstract

「不婚」漸漸成為台灣社會的新趨勢。根據內政部統計資料，在2017年時，40歲到44歲的國內民眾裡，平均每5位就有1位未婚；45歲到49歲，每6位中有1位未婚；50歲到54歲則每9位就有1位未婚。 本深度報導論文透過多名40至54歲未婚男女的問卷調查及深度訪談，分析他（她）們尚未進入婚姻的多種原因，並藉由專家學者的採訪，探討現代人的婚育觀以及造成不婚趨勢的結構性問題。 本深度報導發現，近年來的「不婚趨勢」是由兩大現象所促成——婚姻變成中上階級的「奢侈品」、婚姻從「必需品」變成「選擇品」。進入21世紀後，經濟環境與社會結構的轉變，使低社經地位男女因「缺乏經濟安全感」而愈來愈難以進入婚姻，而「婚育行為」也不再是年輕人寄予未來的「希望」，反而成為了自我發展過程中的「負擔」；同時，女性的學歷與工作機會日益增加，但傳統兩性分工角色仍然存在，使女性「晚婚化」，結果錯過了生育的最佳時機，進而走向「不婚」。

本深度報導作品以故事的方式呈現這些熟齡未婚族的人生經歷、心理轉變及老年危機意識，試圖找出可行的因應之道。

The number of unmarried people in Taiwan is growing at a rapid pace. In 2017, one in five Taiwanese between the ages of 40 and 44 was never married. One in six Taiwanese between the ages of 45 and 49 was unmarried. One in nine Taiwanese between the ages of 50 and 54 was also unmarried. The growth rate grew 3 times compared to what was 20 years ago. This thesis offers in-depth report to analyze why more and more Taiwanese were never getting married even at 40 to 54 years old through interview and questionnaire. This in-depth report discusses several reasons that makes fewer people are seeking marriage today, including economic reasons, the changing role of women in society, and the changes in our values towards marriage. Through interviewing professors and specialists, this reporting tries to consider feasible solutions.
