dc.description.abstract | One of my aspirations in Taiwan would be to open my own business. As a foreigner my focus was on looking at businesses back home and to see if they could be replicated here in Taiwan. So, during my time here, I have been exploring different ideas. One idea that has been sitting with me for a while would be to open a business selling alcoholic popsicles / frozen cocktails. Similar businesses exist abroad, but so far this is a non/existent product in Taiwan. My aim in this thesis, will be to look at the feasibility of replicating such a business in Taiwan and to add some ideas and concepts of my own.
The core product of the business will be the sale of artisanal popsicles based on popular cocktail flavours. The popsicles will contain alcohol and fresh ingredients in order to achieve a high product quality. The original business was founded a few years ago in Berlin, Germany. It originally focused on local customers and events within the city but has since been able to scale and now delivers its products to neighbouring countries. My aim will be to work together with the original business owners and to bring their story to Taiwan. In order to communicate the products heritage, the company will be called Berlin Frozen Cocktails (Berlin調酒冰棒). This business plan will include a more in-depth introduction to the business, its concepts, products and services. An analysis of the market, looking at consumer trends, macro and micro economic factors. Marketing strategies, operational requirements and costs. Finally, a forecast will be made for the cash flows of the business in order to determine the expected profits and financial risks. I have put together the business plan based on available information I have researched and careful observation over the years. | en |
