摘要: | 本論文考慮了擴散泳分析中迄今尚未被深入探討的兩個主題:溫度效應和特殊幾何邊界效應。由於近年來膠體粒子的擴散泳在生物化學、醫學等領域被廣泛地應用,建立一貼近真實情況之廣義的理論模型有其必要。第一個主題中,吾人考慮一表面具有電荷可調節特性的膠體粒子在含有多種離子的電解質溶液中之擴散泳行為,其中探討了溫度、電解質濃度、和pH對該行為的影響。一般而言,溫度會顯著地影響電雙層極化與擴散滲透流強度,進而造成粒子遷移率定性及定量上的改變。第二個主題中,吾人模擬了膠體粒子在變截面積奈米管道中的擴散泳行為。吾人証明,外加濃度梯度與帶電邊界之間的交互影響,以及奈米管道的截面積變化都會影響粒子之泳動行為,導致複雜且有趣的現象。例如,粒子在管道的速度隨位置而改變,此行為文獻中尚未被報導。本論文所獲結果,除可提供實驗研究者解釋其數據時所需之理論基礎外,亦提供了相關元件設計所需之資訊。 Considering its potential applications in various areas, we analyzed two important effects of diffusiophoresis, the migration of a colloid by an applied salt concentration gradient, that have not been discussed previously: temperature and boundary geometry. In the first part of this study, the diffusiophresis of a charge-regulated particle in an aqueous solution containing multiple ionic species is modeled; the temperature, background salt concentration, and pH are examined for their influences on the particle behavior. We show that the polarization of double layer surrounding the particle and the electroosmotic flow are influenced significantly by the temperature, so are its quantitative and qualitative behaviors. The diffusiophoresis of a charged particle in a necked, charged nanochannel is investigated in the second part of this study. The interaction between the applied concentration gradient and the nanochannel yields complicated and interesting phenomena which have not been reported previously. The results gathered in this study provide not only a theoretical ground for experimentalists to elaborate their data, but also necessary information for the design of relevant diffusiophoresis devices. |
