| zh_TW |
dc.description.abstract | A dual-polarized patch antenna fed by two microstrip lines is designed for use in the 60 GHz Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN). The two orthogonal polarizations of the proposed antenna are excited by two orthogonal edge-connected microstrip lines. The proposed design has a simple and single-layer structure.
Firstly, a 60 GHz dual-polarized patch antenna fabricated on a Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramics (LTCC) substrate is proposed. Due to technological limitations linked to the minimum width of the lines that could be printed on the substrate, the 60 GHz patch antenna fed by the edge-connected microstrip lines has a serious impedance-mismatching problem. An impedance-matching network is proposed to solve the problem. Secondly, a 2.4 GHz dual-polarized patch antenna fabricated on an RO4003 substrate is proposed to verify the validity of the proposed 60 GHz antenna. By the validation check, the proposed antenna is feasible and applicable for 60 GHz applications. | en |
