dc.description.abstract | 中文摘要 GIP-TRAID學程的課程與訓練包括研討會、實驗操作、專家訪談、實地研究和實習,這些知識與經驗的累積使我能專業且全面在解決全球性議題。肩旋轉肌撕裂會引起肩部運動功能之障礙與持續性的疼痛,由於高齡化社會的增加,肩旋轉肌撕的患病率逐年攀升,全世界有數百萬人受到這個肩部老化的問題影響,同時也影響生產力、醫療保健系統,然而當前全球的肩旋轉肌縫合手術都存在著相當程度的併發症和漫長的復原時間,因此本研究的目的是開發一種新型的微創手術,透過提升肩袖的再生和肌腱強度降低併發症與復原時間。未來該研究可以透過商業化的方式真正地協助肩旋轉肌撕裂病患,提升全球患者的生活質量。 | zh_TW |
dc.description.abstract | Abstract In the GIP-TRAID program, I had experienced a marvelous academic journey including lectures, experiments, interviewing experts, field to lab study, consultation and internships. The exchange in three different countries and universities immerses me with distinct beauties from each culture. Together, these experiences transformed into broader yet comprehensive aspects for me to resolve local as well as global issues in the future. Shoulder pain and dysfunction caused by rotator cuff tear affect millions of people around the world. Due to the aging of the society, prevalence of rotator cuff tears rises rapidly. The productivity, healthcare system and economy will then be jeopardized by rotator cuff tear while the complications and long recovery time of current surgical intervention remain a global issue. Based on the studies and training in the program, ongoing research focusing on rotator cuff repair is conducting. This study aims to develop a novel minimally invasive surgery (MIS) leading to comparable outcomes with open surgery intervention characterized by a regenerated enthesis and mechanical strength. The study will be transited to medical devices that will be able to improve the quality of life of the global patients by certain entrepreneur approaches. | en |
