2008年金融海嘯之後，各方興起了美元地位衰落和人民幣區域化的言論，另一方面，目前學術界對於貨幣國際化的發展路徑多以全球化和區域化路徑做為劃分，但卻未解釋這兩種路徑的區別。因此，本文從國際貨幣職能的六個關鍵指標出發，分析全球化路徑的美元以及區域化路徑的歐元、日元的國際化發展進程，從國際貨幣職能上解釋人民幣走向國際化的可能路徑─區域化，並在分析過程中尋找出兩種路徑的區分脈絡。 本文考察了以美元為代表的貨幣全球化路徑，其關鍵在於全球性貨幣匯率制度的安排，即使之後失去了制度的支持，但先前鞏固的國際政治經濟實力與金融霸權的地位依舊支持美元在國際貨幣體系中無可取代的優勢，其他貨幣要遵循美元模式走向國際化已無可能。以歐元為代表的貨幣國際化區域路徑，結合了最適貨幣區理論和經濟整合五階段理論，用政策階段性地構建出國際貨幣，其成功的關鍵是區域性制度安排；而日元是隨著日本經濟實力的提升，並且在美國的施壓和日元升值的雙重壓力下才開始國際化，然而由於僅重視結算功能，忽略了貨幣的地域經濟基礎和國內金融改革，1997金融危機後日元地位迅速衰落。 最後本文結論認為，中國藉由在東亞貿易中心的地位，藉由區域化路徑推動人民幣的國際貨幣職能：在私人部門中，以貿易結算試點、香港人民幣離岸金融市場開了初級國際貨幣功能；在官方職能上，考慮到整個東亞金融深化程度尚淺，即使無法成立最適貨幣區，但是目前東亞貨幣合作現狀卻正走向貨幣區域整合四階段，而人民幣在清邁協議中大國主導的部分反應在與周邊和拉美國家簽訂的貨幣互換協議，以及在亞洲債券市場、亞洲貨幣單位的表現，表明在中國不僅積極參與區域流動機制，人民幣區域化範圍正不斷以官方的形式出現，可以視為提高人民幣國際使用的開始。另外，全球化和區域化路徑的區分，同樣可以從國際貨幣在區域內和外的職能拓展做出解釋：當一國貨幣主要行使的國際貨幣職能仍局限於區域內，在全球市場所占份額並不高時，其發展可被歸為區域化路徑；當一國貨幣的國際貨幣職能在全球經貿領域中不斷滲透，其影響力已超越出周邊區域進而擴展到全球時，其發展可被歸類為全球化路徑。 | zh_TW |
