Abstract: 毫米波頻段無線傳輸具有短距、高速的特性,其中60GHz 頻段不但位於美國
聯邦通訊委員會宣布的不需執照的頻段,IEEE 802.15.3c 更是設定60GHz 為無線
個人網路的標準,首先是一顆適用60GHz 接收器前端的低雜訊放大器,使用基體
偏壓技術,3dB 頻寬為53~62GHz,具有13dB 的平坦增益以及20mW 低功耗,晶片
面積為670´570 mm2。
最後介紹利用毫米波頻段進行高畫質影像之無線傳輸系統以及結果展示,此
一高畫質影像無線傳輸系統將從電腦接出的高畫質影像(High Definition Video)升
頻至40~48GHz 來進行無線傳輸,並觀察其傳輸結果;另外在這高畫質影像無線傳
輸系統接收端後方增加一個實現在FR4 板上之中頻放大器(IF Amplifier),可提供
20dB 增益、0~3GHz 的3dB 頻寬,可以涵蓋使用數位串列介面(Serial Digital
Interfaces,SDI)介面輸出的高畫質無壓縮影像信號頻寬,提升高畫質影像無線傳
輸系統接收能力,除了改善直線傳輸距離及訊雜比(SNR)之外,也可使此無線傳
輸系統利用介質邊界進行反射傳輸。
The high speed and indoor wireless transmission is available in the band of
millimeter-wave. The 60GHz frequency band, in the millimeter-wave band, lies on the
unlicensed band announced by the Federal Communications Commission; moreover,
the IEEE 802.15.3c protocol uses 60GHz band for the standard of Wireless Personal
Area Network. A 60GHz low-noise amplifier, as the important element in the front of
receiver, using forward body-bias is demonstrated in 0.13μm CMOS technology. It
achieves 13dB gain with 3-dB bandwidth 53~62GHz consuming 20mW. Chip area is
670´570mm2 .
The millimeter-wave wireless high-definition video transmission is shown below.
The uncompressed high definition video signal from computer is up-converted to
40GHz in the wireless transmission system. A monitor is used in the end of receiver of
the wireless transmission system to show the high definition video. An inter-frequency
amplifier, which is designed on FR4 printed circuit board, is then added in the wireless
transmission system. This IF amplifier achieves 20dB gain with 0~3GHz 3dB
bandwidth, including the band of uncompressed HD video signal from HD-SDI
interface. The receiving performance is improved of the wireless transmission system.
Excepting for improving distance in LOS transmission, the transmission path of
reflecting from dielectric board is available after adding the IF amplifier.
