In this thesis, we use Monte Carlo simulation to study the CP N-1 model with the theta term. We measure the free energy, the topological susceptibility, the second normalized cumulant, and the topological charge density. From our preliminary results of the free energy, we observe a tentative signal of first-order phase transition. |
