摘要: | 近幾年來,由於科技的發達,一些數位電子產品像是MP3播放器、手機、個人數位助理,以及數位相機等的發明,皆需要以便利攜帶為考量,因此就必須以單一個鋰電池或是幾個鎳氫/鎳鎘電池來供應電壓,所以,直流轉直流電壓轉換器就變得愈來愈重要。
此篇論文的內容是在設計一個交換式電容直流轉直流電壓的轉換器,其組態為升壓模式,整個電路包含:能隙參考電壓電路、振盪器電路、充電泵電路以及控制電路,此外,此電壓轉換器還具有過熱保護電路、短路電流限制和自動軟啟動的機制。此轉換器的輸出電壓保持在5伏特,且可用單一鋰電池(2.7伏特至5伏特)來供應其運作電壓,而輸入電壓在3.3伏特以上時,其可供應的電大負載電流可達到100毫安培。此轉換器用H-spice在0.6微米BiCMOS製程下所模擬的,其轉換效率可達到90%。 In recent years, owing to the development of electronic equipments, such as MP3 players, cellular phones, PDAs, and digital cameras, DC/DC converters have become more and more important since these electronic devices must be powered by a single Li-ion battery or some Ni-MH/Ni-Cd batteries. This thesis presents a boost mode switched-capacitor DC/DC converter which contains a bandgap reference, an oscillator, a pumping circuit, and some features including thermal shutdown protection, short-circuit current limiting, and automatic soft-start which prevents the inrush current at the moment of power on. The regulated output voltage is 5V while the range of the operation voltage is from 2.7V to 5V that makes the converter ideally for a single cell Li-Ion battery source. When the input voltage is above 3.3V, the maximum output load current is up to 100mA and the output voltage is steadily 5V. Its conversion efficiency is up to 90%. This converter is simulated by H-Spice with 0.6μm BiCMOS process. |
