Abstract: In this work. we study the effect of Final State Interaction (FSI) in B->VP decays, based on QCD factorization sources. All the VP decay channels are considered (42 modes), and we assume a flavor U(3) (and more generally SU(3)) symmetry in FSI to understand the current data. There exist two types of U(3) invariant FSI, with 3 or 4 rescattering phases. For SU(3) invariant FSI, the mixing between SU(3) multiplets and the more general rescattering phases require 10 parameters to describe. Since QCD factorization is model dependent in the part of power correction, and theoretically it is inevitable for it to overlap with FSI by some strong phases, we absorb them as a part of our parameters. However, in order to make the theory predictive, we assume the power correction to be universal, process independent. We get these phases and mixing angles by fitting with current available data, and the chi square over degree of freedom is improved. Another analysis is done, which focuses on the ratios of branching ratios instead of absolute values, to decouple the potential overall factors in branching ratios. In the end, we discuss the property of our FSI model and predict the yet observed branching ratios, direct CP asymmetries and mixing induced CP asymmteries. SU(3) seems to be better, and the breaking of U(3) symmetry is discussed.
