Abstract: | IEEE 802.16 是一個針對都會區域型無線區域網路(WMAN)所設計的新的通訊協定。它針對高速傳輸、高容量、低架設成本的固定或可攜裝置提供了一個寬頻存取的無線連結。在此規格中,為了使頻寬有效的被利用,頻寬的分配是經由基地台(BS)來排程。基地台會決定用戶端(Subscriber Station)可以上傳(uplink)和下載(downlink)的傳送時槽。此設計是為了提供服務品質 (QoS)。一些應用例如醫療儀器或者安全系統,乃至於多媒體的音視訊資料傳輸,由於這些資料重要且不能被遺失或延遲。針對這類型服務。我們提出了一個新的用戶端排程方法,能在無線的環境下重新安排遺失封包,並將頻寬更妥善的分配,以提供更好的服務品質,實驗結果證實我們的方法比傳統上的機制,不管是時間延遲上,或者服務品質的滿意度上,都具有更好的效能。 Based on IEEE 802.16 medium access control unctionalities, this thesis develops a two-phase adaptive scheduling for retransmission (ASR) to improve the transmission efficiency of IEEE 802.16 systems. The goal of our proposed approach is to properly adapt the bandwidth for retransmitted packets to ful‾ll their delay requirements without QoS violation of the newly arriving packets. The proposed approach is compatible with the IEEE 802.16 standard, and could be easily integrated with the existing packet schedulers as well. A simulation model is presented to investigate the performance of ASR. A series of simulations are conducted to show the capability of our two-phase scheduling approach for retransmissions. |
