摘要: | 本論文中係提出一種近橫向的合成傳輸線,為互補式金屬導線傳輸線,利用
這種合成傳輸線,來設計合成傳輸線與合成傳輸線電感應用在超寬頻放大器與雙 頻壓控振盪器,在0.18 微米CMOS 製程上來實現。在此我們提出了互補式金屬導 線傳輸線應用在兩個寬頻的電路。 首先我們提出了一種新的架構來設計一個寬頻放大器(3~12GHz)應用了有損 匹配、寬頻匹配與回授電路的技術,經過量測驗證可以達到8.7dB 的增益,而輸 出的1dB 增益壓縮點為11.2dBm,具有非常好的輸入反射損耗及輸出反射損耗。使 用傳輸線合成有損的匹配電路與寬頻的技巧將被討論。第二設計一個雙頻的壓控 振盪器(11/17 GHz),經量測證實在低頻帶的可調變頻寬為11.2GHz~12.2GHz,在 高頻帶的可調變頻寬為16.855GHz~18.355GHz,在低頻帶1MHz 的相位誤差為 -113.68dBc,在高頻帶1MHz 的相位誤差為-114.48dBc; 討論設計可切換式的電感 電容共振控,及如何以互補式金屬導線傳輸線來設計合成共振控。最後的結論將 證實互補式金屬導線傳輸線的優點應用於寬頻電路設計。 The thesis is to present the complementary-conducting-strip (CCS), which is a type of synthetic quasi-TEM (Transverse Electromagnetic) transmission lines (TL). By utilizing this type of TLs, a CMOS fabrication process of 0.18 um can be realized for the design of transmission line inductors and synthetic TLs, which can be applied to mid-power UWB amplifiers and dual-band VCOs. Applications of the CCS TL on two broadband circuits are provided. The first circuit presents a novel structure which fabricates a 3 ~ 12 GHz amplifier based on lossy match, broadband match and RC feedback technology. This amplifier achieves measured results of 8.7 dB gain, output P1dB 11.2 dBm with good return loss. The design of using the CCS TLs to synthesize the loosy match circuit and broadband technology are discussed. The second circuit presents a dual-band VCO (11/17 GHz). The tuning range of the VCO is 11.2 ~ 12.2 GHz and 16.855 ~ 18.355 GHz for low band mode and high band mode respectively. The phase noise is -113.68 dBc at 1MHz offset in low band mode and -114.48 dBc at 1MHz offset in high band mode. The design and switch of LC tank, in addition with the application of CCS TL on the design of LC tank are discussed. Finally, the conclusion provides strong evidence for the benefits of applying CCS TL technology to practical circuits design on broadband applications. |
