dc.description.abstract | 在無線群播廣播服務(Multicast and Broadcast Service;MBS)中,可透過共用通道來群播MBS內容給多個使用者,提高通道的傳輸效率。在同一個MBS之下,其每個MBS使用者的平均網路成本,取決於使用者的個數多寡。透過MBS所節省的網路成本,我們可提供折扣回饋給使用者,藉此提高競爭優勢並吸引更多使用者加入MBS。此篇論文以策略與收費控制(Policy and Charging Control;PCC)為基礎,提出了一新的計費方式,多重費率計費方法(Multi-tariff charging method)。我們所提出的計費方式的觀點為:越多使用者加入,價格越低。數據結果也顯示了在價格降低而吸引使用者購買服務時,多重費率計費方法可達成雙贏的局面,讓服務提供者收入增加,也讓使用者的花費減少。 | zh_TW |
dc.description.abstract | Different from the unicast data delivery through dedicated channels, next generation Multicast and Broadcast Service (MBS) deliveries data with a higher bandwidth efficiency through multicasting. The MBS network cost spent on each MBS users highly depends on the number of users currently receiving the same MBS session. With network cost saving of MBS, dynamic discount can be offered to users, which can create a competitive advantage and attract more users to subscribe MBS services. This paper demonstrates how, by effectively integrating next generation Policy and Charging Control (PCC) capabilities, operators can alleviate customer concerns about credit consumption while also remaining profitable as the network has high resource utilization in MBS. We propose a novel charging method, multi-tariff charging method, for MBS through PCC functionality. More specifically, our proposed multi-tariff charging method realizes the concept of ``the more users join, the better the offer for MBS'. Numerical results demonstrate that our multi-tariff charging method can create a ``win-win' situation for both subscribers and operators when the MBS discount incentives to take effect. | en |
